This palace turned into a museum that is partially open to the public. In May 2019, the ceremony for the coronation of King Rama X took place here. In December 2019, the post-coronation again took place in the Grand Palace and its surrounding areas. 

The design is a marriage of traditional Thai architecture and 19th Century European style. You can also find the Temple of the Emerald Buddha in this area.
