A Maasai naturalist will escort you to the kopje featured on the movie’s poster, where you’ll find checked blankets, comfy cushions, canvas safari chairs, elegant picnic food, and sparkling wine.

4. GLIDING THROUGH THE WATER IN A MOKORO – AFRICA

Mokoros are traditional wooden canoes found mainly in Botswana’s Okavango Delta. They are a silent and peaceful way to navigate the delta’s floodwaters, and getting up close to the stunning beauty of nature is about as romantic as it gets. Toast to your relationship as you listen to the calls of the birds as the sun sets over the delta.

5. RECEIVING A BLESSING FROM A MAASAI ELDER – AFRICA

At Angama Mara, couples who want to renew their vows or celebrate a milestone anniversary can do this at an authentic, low-key sunset celebration in the boma or shamba. The husband is presented with a Maasai shirt and beaded walking stick, and the wife with a traditional beaded skirt, top and beautiful Maasai jewelry. They arrive in the boma accompanied by singing and dancing maidens and warriors. After a performance by the warriors, the elders will bless the couple.

Asila Africa offers a traditional Tanzanian blessing for visitors celebrating an anniversary, wedding, or vow renewal at its camps in the Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater region, and Tarangire National Park. These ceremonies include traditional Maasai or Kuria clothing and jewelry for the couple, Maasai dancers, and a bush meal.
